Session rooms are generated by our platform — teachers never create or share external meeting links. Students join sessions directly from their dashboard with a single click. There is no mechanism for any party to redirect a session outside the platform under any circumstances.

The registration itself takes approximately 10–15 minutes. You will complete four screens: your parent account, your child(ren)'s account, your child(ren)'s learning profile, and the parental consent form. Once submitted, our admin team reviews your registration — we aim to respond within one working day. You will receive an activation email with your child's timetable before the first session begins.
Absolutely. Bluepip Academy is a fully international platform. Families from any country are welcome. Our platform automatically detects your time zone during registration, and all session times are displayed in both GMT and your local time. Payment options are available for both Nigerian and international families, including bank card payments via Stripe and Paystack.
Teacher assignment is handled by our admin team to ensure the best possible match based on your child's subject, year group, curriculum, and time zone. We take this matching process seriously — we want the relationship to work well from the start. If after the first few sessions you feel the match is not ideal, you can contact our admin team and we will review the assignment.
We support a wide range of curricula and examination boards, including:
- Nigeria — WAEC, NECO, JAMB, and national junior school curricula
- International — IGCSE, O-Levels, A-Levels (Cambridge & Edexcel)
- American — SAT, ACT, AP subjects

Please specify your child's exam board and year group in the registration form so we can assign an appropriately qualified teacher.
Standard sessions are 60 minutes. Extended sessions of 90 or 120 minutes are available for subjects that benefit from longer, deeper engagement — such as intensive exam preparation or combined topic reviews. Your preferred session length is discussed during the admin review and built into your child's timetable.
If your child is unable to attend a session, please notify our admin team as early as possible. Missed sessions are logged, and our team will work with you to schedule a make-up session where possible, depending on teacher availability and your plan terms. Repeated no-shows without prior notice may affect your plan. The session recording is also available to help your child review what was missed.
Parents are not able to join live sessions directly, as this can disrupt the learning dynamic and the teacher-student relationship. However, you have access to session recordings upon request, automated session summaries after every class, and your child's full materials library — giving you comprehensive visibility into every session without being present. Our admin team can also monitor sessions directly when needed.
The majority of Bluepip sessions are one-to-one — your child and their teacher, with no other students in the room. In some cases, small group sessions of 2–3 students are available for families who prefer this format, which can provide peer interaction while keeping the group small enough for focused teaching. Your preference is confirmed during the admin review.
All Bluepip teachers are recruited and onboarded by our admin team — there is no open self-signup for teachers. Each teacher undergoes a qualification review, subject assessment, and must sign our Teacher Code of Conduct before being permitted to teach on the platform. Their profile, qualifications, and subject specialisms are reviewed by admin before any student is assigned to them.
No. This is one of our most important platform rules. Teachers do not have access to students' phone numbers, email addresses, or any personal contact information. All communication between teachers and students happens exclusively through our platform. Any attempt by a teacher to make contact outside the platform is a serious violation of their Code of Conduct and will result in immediate suspension and review.
We collect only the information necessary to deliver our service: your child's name, year group, and curriculum details. We do not collect behavioural data, social data, or any information beyond what is needed for scheduling and learning. All data is stored securely and processed in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and aligned with GDPR principles for international families. You can request deletion of your child's data at any time by contacting us.
Our billing is flexible and discussed during your admin review. We offer per-term packages (our most popular — aligned with the school calendar), monthly arrangements, and session bundle options. The right structure depends on your plan and preference. Your admin will confirm the billing model that works best for you before your account is activated.
We accept online card payments via Paystack (for Nigerian and African cards, including USSD and bank transfer) and Stripe (for international cards). Bank transfer payments are also accepted — you transfer to our account using a unique reference code, upload your proof of payment, and our admin team verifies and activates your account manually. All payment options are presented clearly in your billing dashboard.
Our refund and cancellation terms are outlined clearly during registration and in our Terms of Service. In general, we handle each situation individually and aim to be fair. If you need to cancel or pause your plan, contact our admin team and we will discuss the best available options based on your plan and the sessions already completed.

- A reasonably stable internet connection (we recommend at least 2 Mbps for smooth video)
- An up-to-date web browser — no app downloads or installations are required
Before your first session, our platform runs a quick connectivity test to identify any potential issues in advance.
Our virtual classroom uses adaptive bandwidth technology — it automatically reduces video quality to maintain the connection rather than dropping the call. If the connection does drop entirely, the student can rejoin from their dashboard within seconds. For persistent connectivity issues, the classroom also offers an audio-only mode, which uses significantly less bandwidth. The session recording serves as a backup — it continues regardless of connection interruptions.
No. Everything — the parent dashboard, the student dashboard, and the virtual classroom — runs entirely in your web browser. There is nothing to download, install, or configure. You simply log in and click. This makes the platform equally accessible on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iPad, and Android tablets without any technical setup.
